Overview
Twelve platform investments across Greater China, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia — semiconductor testing, specialty materials, precision components, healthcare, industrial services, cold chain and branded consumer. Each was a control investment in a founder- or family-owned company, and most reached us through people we had known for years rather than an auction. The same patient approach now backs AI, semiconductor and high-tech companies from their early stages. Nine are current holdings; three have been realised. Select any name to see its story.
Hoi Tin·Marine Marine services Hong Kong Current
Third-generation harbour towage and bunkering operator. We funded the fleet replacement the family had deferred for a decade and brought in a non-family CEO alongside the founder's daughter as chair.
KanzōPrecision. Industrial components Osaka Current
Precision machining for medical device OEMs. The founder had three competing offers from strategics; he chose the buyer who agreed not to move production out of Osaka.
BayanLogistics Cold chain Manila Current
Cold-chain distribution across Luzon and Cebu. Six add-on acquisitions since entry, all of them family-owned regional operators introduced by the founding family.
SeolwonMaterials Specialty chemicals Seoul Current
Adhesives and coatings for display manufacturing.
tamarind•foods Branded food Singapore Realised
Heritage sauce and condiment brands. Realised in 2023 to a European strategic; the family retained a minority stake and both founding brothers remain on the board.
Nanyang Print Packaging Guangzhou Realised
Our first investment. Premium folding-carton packaging for cosmetics; realised in 2021 after doubling capacity and adding a Vietnam plant.
Chun Wo/Fasteners Industrials Dongguan Current
Aerospace-grade fasteners. Bought from two brothers in their seventies who had run the business since 1981 and wanted every employee kept.
Aster✱Clinics Healthcare Kuala Lumpur Current
Multi-site dental and specialist clinics. A physician-founder platform where clinicians roll equity into the group rather than sell outright.
Godo:Analytics Semiconductor testing Taipei Current
Materials testing and certification laboratories serving semiconductor supply chains across Taiwan and Kyushu.
Meridian|Marine Parts Distribution Hong Kong Current
Marine spare-parts distribution. Acquired alongside Hoi Tin's management team, who identified the target and co-invested.
DaidoFiltration Water systems Nagoya Realised
Industrial water treatment and filtration for food and beverage plants. The founder wanted to retire without selling to a foreign owner; we held eight years and realised in 2024 to a domestic strategic, engineering team intact.
RimbaBoard Building materials Johor Current
Engineered wood panels for the regional furniture trade. A second-generation family split on the future; we bought out the departing sibling and backed the one who stayed to run the mill.
